Description
A face split in two. Based on the duality of humanity and a surrealist interpretation of best friend heart pendants, this handmade face split in half represents the subconscious mind and encourages the power of choice, Unify both halves onto one chain, exaggerate their separation using two chains, or gift the other half as an expression of love, goodwill, friendship and remember that together we are one. These pendants are inspired by John Steinbeck's East of Eden: "It would be absurd if we did not understand both angels and devils, since we invented them."
Handmade in New York City in Argentium silver: a higher purity, hypoallergenic, ethically sourced silver that is brighter, stronger, and more tarnish resistant than sterling silver.
Each half of the face measures 25mm x 8mm and weighs approximately 11.1 grams together. All orders include both halves of the face and one to two chains depending on your preference.
Please note our 1.8mm sterling silver cable chains in 16” vary slightly from our 20” chains.
We assure that each piece is polished and handled with care and attention to detail, but please note that due to the handmade nature of our jewelry, there may be slight variations.
Care
For general maintenance, use a soft polishing cloth to wipe your piece. Wash gently with mild soap in warm water for a deeper clean, and dry immediately after to avoid water spots.
While Argentium silver is tarnish resistant and generally low maintenance, please treat your jewelry with care. We recommend avoiding exposure to chemicals like chlorine, household cleaning products, perfumes, and lotions. Your jewelry is made of quality material that will last a lifetime, but please remember that rough handling may lead to scratches and marks. We suggest you store your pieces in a cool, dry place when not being worn.
